County cup  Away    Frampton Rangers U16  3   The Beeches U 15  0

Playing a team a year older Beeches played well and and can be proud of there performance. They started well and pressed Frampton from the start using their two wingers Dan Warriner and Harry Smart they created two really good goal scoring opputunities which were well saved by the Frampton keeper.

The main differance was Frampton's bigger and more pysical strength of there older players. And Beeches were to find themselfs 2-0 by half time through goals scored on the break.

The second half Beeches continued to play there football with out really having the end product in the last third of the pitch. Frampton scored a third to move into the second round.

But credit to all the Beeches lads who worked hard through out the 80 minutes

8/11/09    Churchdown Panthers  0  The Beeches u15   4

Beeches travelled to Churchdown Panthers and they were to find there opponents a very difficult side to break down. Churchdown attacks were well controlled by the defensive rear guard of Matty Fletcher, Bradley Robinson, M Marley Burt and Thomas Jehu who's stubborn defending kept the home side at bay.

Churhdown did finally get the ball into the Beeches net only for it to be disallowed. Beeches began to create a number of good chances with Dan Warriner going close on several occasions. Half time was to see a score line of 0-0

With a pep talk at half time and subs made Beeches started to push forward and were rewarded when Ryan Heaven scored the first goal, sliding in to slot past the home keeper. His second came from a flick on by Jack Ayres leaving  Ryan Heaven time to slot the ball past the keeper.

With the midfield of Max Steadman,Tim Bond, Harry Smart and Dan Warriner now dominating and playing some good stuff it wasnt long before the third goal was scored when debutant Mant took a long throw into the box and found Dan Warriner nipping in between two defenders to score in the bottom corner.  Ryan Heaven completed his hatrick when he found himself one on one with the keeper and calmly picked his spot this putting the game beyond Churchdown's reach

14/11/09  league cup   Gotherington u15  2   The Beeches u15  13

The Beeches travelled to Gotherington on Sunday in the League cup. This was a reverse fixture due to Kingshill Sports Complex being waterlogged making the home ground unfit to play on. Beeches soon settled into their impressive style of two touch football, moving the ball down both flanks. It wasnt long before they found the goals going in in quick succession.

Being 4-0 up Gotherington struck twice to make it 5-2 at half time

The second half saw the flood gates open with Beeches now playing fast flowing football and the goals went raining in.

Beeches scorers : Ryan Heaven 4, Tim Bond 2, Jack Ayres 2, Harry Smart 2, Dan Warriner, Loui Rastelli and goal of the game was a 30 yard net buster from Tom Jehu to finish off an impressive display

29/11/09    Churchdown Panthers u15  0  The Beeches u15  3

The Beeches under 15's found themselves on their travels again as the home fixture was again postponed due to a waterlogged pitch. Churchdowns pitch was also in poor condition with surface water lying on the top making good football very difficult to play.

With Beeches struggling to cope with the pitch conditions, some last ditch tackling by Matt Fletcher, Rob Mant and safe hands of Brad James prevented an unlucky Churchdown from taking the lead.

With 20 minutes gone on the clock Beeches found an opening when Jack Ayres threaded a good through ball, splitting the Churchdown defence. The home keeper misjudged the pass leaving Dan Warriner a simple tap-in to bring the score to 1-0 by half time.

The second period saw Beeches starting to play their normal flowing football, getting the ball down and getting both wide players Smart & Warriner in behind their opponents defence, which found the later out pacing his marker to find the perfect cross to Steadman who in return cooley slotted home past the keeper to take the score to 2-0.

The third and final goal came from Tim Bond who powered his way past three Churchdown defenders before beating the keeper to finish off the days proceedings. Credit goes to both teams who played the game well in very difficult conditions

This coming weekend The Beeches travel to top of the table Broadway United. With only two points seperating the two teams the game looks set to be a cracker.

6/12/09    Broadway United u15's  4  The Beeches u15's 1

The Beeches played old rivals Broadway on Sunday in a top of the table clash and found last seasons champions in top form. Beeches found themselves with their backs to the wall from the start and were unable to cope with Broadway's attacking style of football.

The only chance The Beeches created in the first half was when Dan Warriner's cross come shot hit the bar. Broadway struck twice in the first half to make the HT score line 2-0. The Beeches started the second half well when Tim Bond struck his shot which the keeper spilled into the path of the ever alert Ryan Heaven who made no mistake smashing the ball back into the back of the Broadway net.

With Beeches now looking for the equaliser they were caught out when Broadway snatched another goal against the run of play. Broadway wrapped up the game when a mix-up between keeper Bradley James and defender  Rob Mant gifted a Broadway forward the ball, finding time and space to pick his spot and finish any hope of a Beeches come back

24/01/10   Cheltenham Saracens 0 The Beeches 1

The Beeches who hadn't played a match for nine weeks due to the frost and the snow, travelled away to play their first game of the new year.

With pitch conditions heavy going The Beeches went close on three occasions from set pieces with Tom Jehu's pinpoint corners finding Tim Bond whose headers were unable to find the target.

This saw the half time score line 0-0. Much was the same story in the second half when Max Steadmans diving header went over the bar with the goal at his mercy. With The Beeches players now looking tired and running out of ideas they finally broke the deadlock when a Tom Jehu pass found Dan Warriner who turned inside his marker, crossed and found Harry Smart who flicked the ball with a stooping header into the far corner of the net to wrap up the game and secure three very valuable points.

14/2/10    The Beeches 3 Cheltenham Saracens 1

The Beeches found the first half proceedings tough on Sunday and were caught  sleeping when Saracens worked a clever set piece from a corner for the unfortunate Brad Robinson to head past his own keeper. Beeches started the second half much the brighter of the two teams. The equaliser came from a Tom Jehu's pin point corner, finding the head of Max Steadman who in return sent a bullet header into the top corner.

With the home side now pressing and Saracens forced into mistakes , man of the match Jehu once again found the inch perfect delivery this time picking out the head of Tim Bond, who rose above the Saracens defence to head home. Beeches finished off a good second half display when Bond's pass found Dan Warriner who out paced his marker only to scuff his shot, which deflected past the helpless keeper to finish off any chance of a Saracens comeback.

Man of the match : Tom Jehu

21/02/10    The Beeches 2  FC Lakeside  4

The Beeches found themselves struggling with the heavy pitch conditions and their vistors took full advantage , leading 3-0 at half time. It was much of the same story in the second half until some tactical changes were made, seeing Matt Fletcher going from centre half to centre forward.

Fletcher was beginning to cause mayhem at the back for the Lakeside defence and it wasn't long before he made his presence felt. From a good cross from Dan Warriner his eagerness to win the ball resulted in panic at the back allowing his strike partner  Ryan Heaven to score.

With The Beeches now believing that the game wasn't lost, a second goal was always on the cards. From a Tom Jehu free kick  Dan Warriner headed the ball goalwards. Arriving late on the scene was the inspirational Fletcher who managed to get the all important touch diverting the ball past the out stretched hand of the Lakeside keeper. This was game on and Beeches were now back in the game at 3-2.

The fight back looked to be on until the Referee awarded Lakeside a dubious penalty, the spot kick was duly dispatched ending any hopes the home side had of making a comeback.

07/03/10  Swindon Village Bowen 1 The Beeches Res 8

With The Beeches away to bottom of the table Swindon Village Bowmen the manager Steve Bond decided to make several positional changes which caused the team not to get to grips with the game early on. However they managed to break the deadlock when a Bowmen defender headed an own goal from a Tom Jehu corner kick.

Matt Fletcher added another goal just before half time when he smashed an unstoppable shot into the roof of the net.

The Beeches started the second half slowly and seemed to lack belief in their own ability and they were to get pegged back to 2-1 when the Bowmen's forward chased a long through ball and lobbed the helpless James in The Beeches goal. This was the wake up call The Beeches needed

With all three subs made it wasnt long before the game was put to bed with all three subs scoring. Ayres, Underhill, Warriner 2. With Ayres and Jehu crossing from the left flank it was Tim Bond who netted a further 2 goals to wrap up game and secure the 3 points on offer.

14/03/10  The Beeches 0 FC Lakeside 1

The Beeches were to take part in the there biggest game of the season with a place in the final at Wadden Road awaiting the winner.

The Beeches made an impressive start, dominating the play for the first 25 minutes with their opponents unable to cope with the Beeches attacking football. But their were unable to make the most of their possession and it was a cruel blow when against the run of play Lakesides forward managed to beat James in the Beeches goal

The second half saw the game drift away from the home side and it was only the outstanding MOM performance from Beeches keeper Brad James that saw the game finish at 1-0

28/03/10  Forest Green Rovers 1 The Beeches 1

This match was a local derby played at the Royal Agricultral College

The game was a close fought contest, which saw a game of two halves with Forest Green Rovers coming out on top in the first half and going in at half time leading 1-0 with a well taken goal.

However the second half belonged to The Beeches, which saw Warriner hit the post from 20 yards with a block buster of a shot and also a great save from the Rovers keeper kept out a bullet header out from Steadman.

The Beeches were now pressing hard for the equaliser and they continued to up their work rate. The deserved equaliser eventually came when another pin-point cross from Tom Jehu caused mayhem in the box, allowing Tim Bond to latch onto the loose ball and smash an unstoppable shot through the crowded area and into the back of the Rovers net.

The match ending in a fair 1-1 drew.
